Upon PM Modi’s arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria in the capital Abuja. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi was presented with the symbolic key of the city of Abuja, which is a symbol of the trust and respect shown to him by the people of Nigeria.
This visit of the Prime Minister is being considered important towards further strengthening the bilateral relations between India and Nigeria. Talks between the two countries are planned to increase cooperation in the areas of energy, trade, and cultural exchange.
