PM Modi said in Poland- Poland showed generosity in the Ukraine crisis

Warsaw. PM Modi addressed a joint press conference with Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the second day of his two-day visit. While reacting to the address of the Polish PM, PM Modi said that I am very grateful to Prime Minister Tusk for his words and warm welcome in this beautiful city of Warsaw. Your invaluable efforts to strengthen India-Poland friendship are truly commendable. I thank you wholeheartedly for your contribution. The Prime Minister told Donald Tusk that you have been a good friend of India for a long time. You have contributed a lot in strengthening the friendship between India and Poland. In his address, the PM said that today after 45 years an Indian Prime Minister has visited Poland. I have got this privilege at the beginning of my third term. On this occasion, I express special gratitude to the Government of Poland and the people here. We Indians can never forget the generosity you showed to evacuate the Indian students stranded during the Ukraine crisis in 2022.
PM Modi said that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and West Asia is a matter of deep concern for all of us. India firmly believes that no problem can be solved on the battlefield. The loss of innocent lives in any crisis has become the biggest challenge for the entire humanity. We support dialogue and diplomacy for the early restoration of peace and stability. For this, India is ready to provide all possible cooperation along with its friendly countries.
During this, PM Modi said that today is a day of special importance in the relations between India and Poland. This year we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. On this occasion, we have decided to transform the relations into a strategic partnership. Relations between India and Poland are based on shared values ​​like democracy and rule of law. India and Poland have also been moving forward in close coordination on the international platform. We both agree that reform in the United Nations and other international institutions is the need of the hour to face global challenges.
Earlier, while addressing a joint press conference in Warsaw, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, “Today is a very important day for both our countries. It is a matter of great honour for us that we are hosting the Prime Minister of India on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of strategic relations between our countries. This is proof that this visit is very important. Undoubtedly, this is proof that relations between our two countries are getting better. This is very important for the entire region.”
