Amit Shah wrote in his message that in line with the commitment of Prime Minister Modi, the Home Ministry is starting an initiative to provide goods to the people of Manipur at reasonable prices. Now the Central Police Welfare Stores will open for the general public from September 17, 2024. Apart from the 21 existing stores, 16 new stores will be opened. Of the 16 new centers, eight will be in the valley and the remaining eight in the hilly areas.
