Preparations for Independence Day……..Traffic routes will be diverted in Delhi today

New Delhi . Preparations are in full swing in Delhi for the Independence Day celebrations. In view of the preparations for Independence Day, Delhi Police has decided to divert traffic routes on 13 August.
In fact, full dress rehearsal is going to be held in Delhi on Tuesday in view of Independence Day. In view of this, some roads will be closed. At the same time, Delhi Traffic Police has shared complete information about alternative routes. To ensure smooth conduct of the rehearsal, major roads across the city will be closed from 4 am to 11 am. Traffic will be restricted on eight major roads during the rehearsal. This includes Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and its link road, Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT, Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover.
Vehicles without proper parking labels for the rehearsal will have to avoid several major areas. During this time, people can avoid C-Hexagon, India Gate, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, W Point, A Point, Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, BSZ Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, JL Nehru Marg, Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Outer Ring Road from Nizamuddin Khatta to ISBT Kashmiri Gate via Salimgarh Bypass. Please note that the old iron bridge and Geeta Colony bridge leading to Shanti Van will remain closed during the rehearsal. However, DND, NH-24 (NH-9), Yudhishthir Setu, Signature Bridge and Wazirabad Bridge will remain open for access to the ring road. At the same time, the movement of cargo vehicles between Nizamuddin and Wazirabad bridges will be restricted from midnight of August 12 to 11 am on August 13.
