President Smt. Draupadi Murmu, on the second day of her stay in Chhattisgarh, today offered prayers at the Mahaprabhu Lord Shri Jagannath Temple located in Gayatri Nagar of the capital Raipur and sought blessings for the happiness, prosperity and continuous progress of the countrymen.
During this, President Smt. Murmu met the members of Jagannath Seva Samiti and inquired about their well-being.
He met the public representatives and senior citizens of the state who reached the temple on this occasion.
On this occasion, Governor Shri Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Purandar Mishra and officials of the temple committee were present.
It is worth noting that the feet of Mahaprabhu Lord Shri Jagannath located in Jagannath Puri of Orissa were in Prayag city Rajim situated on the banks of Triveni Sangam of Sondhur, Parry and Mahanadi in Chhattisgarh, which is currently worshiped by lakhs of devotees in the form of Lord Kuleshwar Temple.
