This time this meeting will be held in America in which apart from PM Modi, President Joe Biden, Australian PM Anthony Albanese and Japanese PM Kishida Fumio will participate. While just a few weeks after returning from America, on October 21, 2024, PM Modi will attend the summit of the BRICS organization along with leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At a time when on one hand the western countries led by America are continuously strengthening their front against Russia and China over Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific region, India will also hold discussions with them in an important organisation and will play an important role in deciding the future policy of BRICS with Russia-China.
Future Quad meeting announced by US-Australia
On Friday (September 13), the US and Australia announced the future Quad meeting. Both countries have indicated that this time the meeting will be on a very experimental and big agenda. The US has said that the Biden-Harris administration has given top priority to the Quad.
Its first top-level meeting was held in the White House in the year 2021. After that, this is the first meeting of Quad top leaders to be held in America. Although this meeting was to be held in India this year, but due to some reasons it is not happening. Now next year’s top meeting will be held in India.
Elections are going to be held soon in America and Japan
It is being told that the US administration intends to give the last gift of his tenure to President Biden in the form of the Quad meeting. The meeting to be held in India will have the new top leadership of America and Japan. Elections are going to be held soon in both these countries.
A meeting was held at the level of the foreign ministries of the four countries in New Delhi on Friday regarding the preparations for the Quad. In a statement issued by Australia, it has been said that eight meetings have been held between the foreign ministers of the Quad in recent years. This organization is working properly on the priorities of the Indo-Pacific region.
