Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his tour to South India from today, will send Rs 21,000 crore to the accounts of farmers…

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going on a two-day visit to Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra on Tuesday.

Here he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects. He will start his journey from Kerala and end in Maharashtra on Wednesday.

At around 10:45 am, PM Narendra Modi will visit Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

According to an official release, during his visit to the state, PM Modi will inaugurate three major space infrastructure projects.

These include the PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota; New ‘Semi-Cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility’ at ISRO Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri; and ‘Trisonic Wind Tunnel’ at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.

The three projects providing world-class technical facilities for the space sector have been designed at a cost of approximately Rs 1,800 crore.

In Maharashtra, the Prime Minister will release the 16th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi and transfer an amount of over Rs 21,000 crore to the accounts of farmers. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Monday.

The PMO said the Prime Minister will attend the ‘Creating the Future-Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ event in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on February 27 at around 5:15 pm.

The next day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth about Rs 17,300 crore in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, at around 9:45 am and then leave for Yavatmal in Maharashtra, where he will inaugurate several development projects worth more than Rs 4,900 crore. Will do and release the 16th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

In Yavatmal, the Prime Minister will also distribute the second and third installment of ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’ worth about Rs 3,800 crore.

This will benefit approximately 88 lakh beneficiary farmers across Maharashtra. The Prime Minister will distribute a revolving fund of Rs 825 crore to 5.5 lakh women self-help groups (SHGs) across Maharashtra.

This amount is in addition to the funds provided by the Government of India under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).

Prime Minister will distribute one crore Ayushman cards across Maharashtra and launch Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries.

This scheme envisages construction of a total of 10 lakh houses from financial year 2023-24 to financial year 2025-26. The Prime Minister will transfer the first installment of Rs 375 crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries of the scheme.

The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation several irrigation projects benefiting the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra. These projects have been developed under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and Baliraja Jal Sanjeevani Yojana (BJSY) at a cumulative cost of more than Rs 2750 crore.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several rail projects worth over Rs 1300 crore in Maharashtra and dedicate to the nation several projects to strengthen the road sector. He will also unveil the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Yavatmal city.
