Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has reached Dallas, America. This is Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to America as the Leader of Opposition.
Rahul will attend various programs here and meet students and the Indian community here. Earlier, Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda had shared the news of Rahul’s visit to America.
After Dallas, Rahul will also visit Texas on September 9 and Washington DC on September 10.
Rahul Gandhi himself gave this information on the social media platform Facebook and said, “I am really happy with the warmth and welcome I received from the Indian diaspora and members of the Indian Overseas Congress in Dallas, Texas, USA.”
Rahul Gandhi further wrote about this visit, “I am looking forward to engaging in meaningful discussions during this visit that will further strengthen the ties between our two countries.”
Will meet Indian expatriates
Earlier, while giving this information, Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda had said that Rahul Gandhi will be on a visit to America from September 8 and will meet the people of the Indian community.
Sam Pitroda had said that there will be a Pravasi program in every city. Apart from this, Rahul will also attend a dinner organized by the Indian Overseas Congress.
Rahul reached America in June last year
Earlier in June last year, Rahul Gandhi had visited America. Rahul had met Indian students in San Francisco. Here he had also addressed a press conference which had made a lot of headlines.
In March last year, Rahul had visited Britain, which had caused a lot of controversy in India.
