A big update has come regarding the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
The construction work of the 260 meter long PSC bridge on National Highway (NH) 48 in Navsari district of Gujarat has been completed. A press release was issued by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited on Tuesday.
According to this, the viaduct of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor is at Amadpur village in Navsari district of Gujarat, passing over National Highway-48 (through Gujarat and Maharashtra) between Delhi and Chennai.
According to reports, this 260-metre long bridge is the first PSC Balanced Cantilever Bridge completed on a highway by SBS (Span by Span) method.
This bridge has 104 segments with four spans of 50, 80, 80, 50 meters. This bridge is located between Surat and Bilimora bullet train station.
NH-48 is one of the busiest highways in the country. Hence the launch on the highway was carefully planned and executed with precision.
Work on the bullet train project is progressing rapidly
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said recently that work on the bullet train project is going on at a fast pace. He said that there will be 2 categories in the bullet train, first general and second special category.
He said that the work of making 320 fillers has been completed. The work of making a tunnel about 50 meters deep under the sea and building a station is also going on at a fast pace.
He said that E Sreedharan, who was the Director of Delhi Metro from 1995 to 2012, made a very good arrangement in the Metro that there should not be any category classification.
At that time I used to work in the office of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Keeping in mind what Sridharan said, there will be 2 classes in the bullet train.
