Hyderabad. 16 people died in rain-related incidents in Telangana on Monday, while 15 people lost their lives in similar incidents in Andhra Pradesh in the last three days. 26 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in both the states for relief and rescue operations. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has demanded the Center to declare the floods as a national disaster. Five people died due to landslide in Mogalrajpuram in Vijayawada. One person each died in Vijayawada Rural, G Konduru Mandal and Reddygudem Mandal, all these areas fall under NTR district. Five people were also reported dead in Guntur district, including a teacher and two students who were going from Uppalapadu to Namburu, who were swept away by the waters. An 80-year-old woman also died in Mangalgiri town. Apart from this, three children drowned in Markapur division of Prakasam district. State IT and Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu said that a comprehensive information about the situation will be available only after getting a full report of the damage. The Chief Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those killed in rain-related incidents. Along with this, the state government will submit a detailed report on the damage caused by the floods to the Centre and will request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the flood-affected areas of the state.
Many trains of Bihar have been cancelled
On the other hand, due to waterlogging at many places on the railway tracks of South Western Railway in Karnataka, many trains to Bihar have been canceled. Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway Saraswati Chandra said that there is waterlogging on the tracks at many places on Rayanapadu station and Vijayawada-Nidadavolu railway section. Due to this, train number 12296 Sanghamitra Express running from Danapur on Monday, train number 12295 Sanghamitra Express running from Bengaluru, train number 06509 Bengaluru-Danapur special train running from Bengaluru and train number 06510 Danapur-Bengaluru special train running from Danapur on September 4 have been canceled.
