The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Odisha and Bengal.

IMD has predicted heavy rain in many districts of Odisha till Saturday. The Center has issued a red alert for Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts and an orange alert for Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur and Dhenkanal. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding heavy rainfall in nine districts of Odisha.

Heavy rainfall will continue for the next several hours

The Meteorological Department says that even though the threat of the cyclone has passed, its impact will continue to cause heavy rainfall for the next several hours. According to the Meteorological Center of Bhubaneswar, the maximum rainfall of 158 mm was recorded in Chandbali in Bhadrak district during the last 24 hours. At the same time, Rajkanika area of ​​Kendrapara district received 156 mm rainfall.

Heavy rain in Kerala, orange alert issued in eight districts

Many parts of Kerala have been receiving heavy rain since Friday morning, due to which normal life has been affected due to waterlogging on roads and traffic jams. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert in eight districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the state till October 27 due to the cyclonic conditions forming in the Arabian Sea off the southern Kerala coast.

Air quality improved due to strong winds

After being in the ‘very poor’ category for four consecutive days, Delhi’s AQI was recorded below 300 i.e. in the ‘poor’ category on Friday. However, according to the Air Quality Forecasting System under the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences, the AQI is likely to again reach the ‘very poor’ category on Saturday. The same situation will continue on Sunday also. After this the situation may worsen further. AQI may even reach ‘severe’ category.
