Rats have become a nuisance for the Sharif government, Pakistan’s parliament is running a ‘special session’; budget passed to deal with them…

Rats have now become a new headache for Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis.

The nuisance of rats in the Pakistani Parliament is not stopping. Rats have eaten important documents in the Parliament of the neighbouring country.

To handle the situation and deal with the menace of rats in the Parliament House, the Pakistani administration has decided to release hunting cats and lay traps. 12 lakh Pakistani rupees have also been allocated for this entire process.

According to Arab News reports, the number of rats in Pakistan’s Parliament is gradually increasing. Due to their arrival, many important and confidential documents are getting destroyed.

The situation is similar in both houses of Parliament – the National Assembly and the Senate. The rats are not just biting documents but also computer cables.

In such a situation, apart from releasing hunting cats in the Parliament House, a plan has also been made to lay traps to catch rats. The help of private organizations is also being taken for this.

This problem was first noticed when a government committee tried to obtain documents of 2008. While examining the documents, it was discovered that most of the papers had been eaten by rats.

The second floor of the Parliament building has the highest number of rats. The opposition leader’s office is located on this second floor, and most of the political parties and parliamentary standing committee meetings are also held there.

Rats are rarely seen during the day because of the large crowd of people, but at night rats hold ‘special sessions’ in the Parliament House.

According to Arab News, Pakistan’s National Assembly spokesman Zafar Sultan said that the size of the rats in the Parliament building is so big that they can swallow a cat. In the words of a National Assembly official, “When there are no people after dusk, the rats start running as if they are running a marathon. The workers here are used to this. But when someone comes for the first time, he gets scared seeing them like this.”

The problem of rats in the Parliament of Pakistan, which is facing financial crisis, has spread on social media.

People of Pakistan say that there is always a cat and mouse fight going on between the rulers and the army in the country. This time it is a matter of good fortune to see that fight in the Parliament.
