RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das’s health deteriorated, admitted to Chennai hospital

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai due to a minor problem. He is admitted in Apollo Hospital. Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das complained of acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for treatment. He is fine now and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours.

After this, a statement regarding his health was also issued by the RBI spokesperson. He said Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das complained of acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for observation.

RBI spokesperson further said, now his condition is fine. He will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is nothing to worry about. Let us tell you that on December 10, the tenure of the current RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das is also ending. In such a situation, it is a big question whether he will continue in his post or not.

Shaktikanta Das took over the responsibility of RBI Governor 6 years ago. Before him, Urjit Patel was holding the charge of RBI Governor. After his sudden resignation, Shaktikanta Das became the new RBI Governor. During his tenure, he has done remarkable work towards controlling the problem of inflation that arose in the country due to Covid and thereafter.

Shaktikanta Das serves as the 25th Governor of RBI. He was previously a member of the Fifteenth Finance Commission and India’s Sherpa at the G20. Shaktidkant Das is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1980 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre.
