In this era of social media, the trend of making reels anywhere has increased a lot. People don’t even leave railway stations to become famous.
Now Indian Railways has taken a big step against the people who create safety hazards by making reels.
The Railway Board has asked officials of all zones to register an FIR against reel makers if they pose a threat to safe rail operations or cause inconvenience to passengers in coaches and railway premises.
This instruction of the Railway Board comes after the recent cases in which people have compromised railway safety by making videos of stunts on railway tracks and in moving trains with their mobile phones.
A senior Railway Board official said, “People have crossed all limits in making reels.
They not only risk their lives but also endanger the safety of hundreds of railway passengers by placing objects on the railway tracks or by driving vehicles and performing life-threatening stunts in a running train.”
He said, “In the viral video going viral on social media, it has been seen that people came near the train and went too close to the track while taking selfies, without understanding how long a train can cover in a short time and hence He lost his life after being hit by a train.”
According to Railway Board officials, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have been asked to adopt a policy of no laxity against people making reels for violating the norms.
