Results changed under my supervision; What kind of election is this of Pakistan, the commissioner himself admitted that it was a game…

The general elections in Pakistan have also set an example of rigging.

After the election results on February 8, people in Pakistan have taken to the streets. Amid allegations of rigging, the Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division has made a big revelation by resigning from his post.

He said that the results were changed under his supervision to defeat the independent candidates supported by Imran Khan. The Commissioner has accepted that the elections were gamed and rigged to help PML-N win 13 seats in Rawalpindi.

Supreme Court judges also accused of rigging

According to Pakistani media, Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha said outside the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, I take responsibility for my mistake.

The Chief Election Commissioner and the top judge of the Supreme Court were also involved in this work. Fake stamps were used to defeat the independent candidates who were leading by 70 to 80 thousand votes.

He said, taking responsibility for the rigging, I am resigning from my post. He resigned by writing a letter to Punjab Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

When asked about the irregularities in the process during the elections and till the results came, he said, this is a very small word.

Rather it should be said directly that the country has been stabbed in the back. Because of this I was not able to sleep. I should be punished for the injustice I have done. Besides, those people who were involved in this work should also be punished.

Before holding a press conference at Rawalpindi Stadium, Chatha said that he was under so much pressure that he had decided to commit suicide. But then he decided to go before the public.

He said, I would request the bureaucrats not to do any wrong thing for these leaders. After Chatha’s claim, the Election Commission of Pakistan said that all these allegations are completely false.

No official was asked to make any changes to the election results, the commission said. The Commissioner of any division had not instructed the Returning Officer or the Presiding Officer to tamper with the election results or the electoral process. The Election Commission will soon conduct an investigation into this matter.

Punjab’s acting Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also ordered an impartial investigation into Chatha’s claims. He said that a high level committee will be formed for this. Let us tell you that in the general elections held in Pakistan, Imran Khan’s party has emerged as the largest party.

However, his party was banned even before the elections. In such a situation, his supporting candidates contested as independents. Imran Khan is currently in jail. There are also reports that he has already talked to the ISI and has joined the race to become the Prime Minister.
