Inaugurated newly constructed buildings

Revenue and Disaster Management, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma participated as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of Manas Gaan competition organized in village Borid of Patan development block of Durg district yesterday.

He inaugurated the newly constructed Community Hall, Kurmi Bhawan and Panchayat Bhawan here at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

Chief guest Revenue Minister Verma, while addressing the function, said that snatching of rights is talked about in Mahabharata and distribution of property is talked about in Ramayana.

Instead of listening to the story, imbibe the things from the story in your life. He said that mothers should make their children cultured. If Ram is to be incarnated in the house, mothers will have to become Kaushalya.

Minister Verma called upon the people to imbibe the path shown in Ramayana in their lives to realize the vision of Ramrajya in the state. He quoted lines from Ramayana in a melodious voice.

On the demand of the villagers, Minister Verma announced Rs 25 lakh for the development work of the village.

Jitendra Verma also addressed the function. Panchayat representatives and Manas-loving public were present on this occasion.
