Demand for grant of Rs 8016 crore for PWD passed
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said – Road infrastructure of the state will be strengthened, road connectivity will increase in underdeveloped and backward areas.
Demands for grant of Rs 8016 crore 84 lakh 34 thousand were presented by Deputy Chief Minister and PWD Minister Arun Sao for the financial year 2024-25, which was passed in the Assembly today.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will work to strengthen the road infrastructure in the state as well as strengthen road connectivity in underdeveloped and backward areas.
He said that the number of vehicles has increased rapidly in the state. This has increased the pressure on traffic. There is a need to widen the roads and also to strengthen them so that the traffic is organized, budget provisions have been made as per this need.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that as per the guarantee of Modi ji, every highway will be strengthened according to the perennial and traffic needs by the year 2027. As per Modi ji’s guarantee, all the state highways in the state will be double laned as much as possible.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that he will ensure road infrastructure in inaccessible villages so that these villages can connect with the mainstream. Shri Sao said that PWD Drishti App has been launched to ensure complete quality in construction works.
Through this, the inspecting officer will be able to take photographs of the work from the workplace itself and upload it on the server. Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that Rs 396 crore has been kept for the repair of roads. New railway overbridges, under bridges and under passes will be built in the state.
Flyover will be built on Pandari-Mova road- A flyover will be constructed on Pandari Mova road at a cost of Rs 75 crore. Underpass will be constructed from Telghani Naka Chowk to platform number 7 of the station, its cost will be Rs 10 crore.
Railway overbridge will be built near Mandirhasaud station, its cost will be Rs 12 crore. Railway overbridge will be built in Raigarh Chakradhar Nagar which will cost Rs 80 crore. Phundahar Chowk separator will be built in Atal Path Expressway which will cost Rs 10 crore.
Great separator will be built at Mangala Chowk in Bilaspur at a cost of Rs 12 crore 50 lakh. An overpass will be built on Ring Road No. 2 Raipur Jarvai Marg at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
Overpass will be built on Sarona Chowk Ring Road No. 1 at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Overpass and underpass will be built from Bharat Mata Chowk to station platform 7 near Kukri Talab, it will cost Rs 5 crore.
Similarly, an underpass will be built from Gudhiyari part of Raipur Expressway to Platform 7, which will cost Rs 5 crore. Overpass will be constructed on Tatibandh Bhanpuri Ring Road No. 2 at a cost of Rs 12 crore 50 lakh. A budget of Rs 961 crore 78 lakh has been kept for building works.
A budget of Rs 1517 crore 60 lakh has been kept for road bridge construction work in Scheduled Tribe areas. Rs 258 crore 57 lakh will be spent for the Scheduled Tribe sub-plan building work.
Similarly, an amount of Rs 371 crore 16 lakh has been kept for the construction of buildings, roads and bridges in Scheduled Caste areas.
