Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has completely refuted the allegations of the opposition parties that there is a deadlock with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said on Saturday that there is no such thing. Describing both the organizations as part of one big family, Hosabale reiterated that unity remains intact between the two.
He highlighted that any disagreement between the RSS and the BJP is an internal matter and should be handled at the family and organizational level.
Pointing to BJP President JP Nadda’s statement before the April-June general elections, Hosabale said that there is no need to speak on such issues on a public platform.
We are part of a family. This should be addressed internally. He also revealed that soon after his statement they met at JP Nadda’s residence and had dinner together.
Hosabale affirmed cordial relations and rejected the notion of any bitterness.
Hosabale’s statements come in the backdrop of growing speculation about a political divide between the RSS and the BJP. According to Hosabale, the relationship between the two organizations is not one of dependence but of self-reliance.
Each must stand on its own feet, aligned to broader goals and national interest.
He said that RSS does not have enmity towards any political group. Hosabale said, “We do not spread hatred for anyone.
We invite everyone. “Even Rahul Gandhi to come and talk to us.”
This message is especially weighty in the current political climate. Rahul Gandhi always mentions RSS in his political speeches and holds the organization responsible for the alleged communal disharmony in the country.
Hosabale took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s “love shop” statement, saying some people talk about love and unity, but they are not ready to hold talks with the RSS.
He said that this reluctance undermines the ideals they claim to have developed.
