The terrorist organization Islamic State has carried out indiscriminate firing and bombing in a concert hall in the Russian capital Moscow, in which more than 60 people have died, while 145 people are injured.
Russia’s staunch enemy America has said that it had already warned Russia that terrorist organizations could target large gatherings in Russia.
The United States warned Russian officials as early as March about a terrorist attack targeting “large gatherings” in Moscow, the White House said Friday, following the shooting at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall.
“Earlier this month, the U.S. government received information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow – likely to target large gatherings,” National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said. These also included music concerts.”
“Washington shared this information with Russian officials,” Watson said. Let us tell you that relations between Russia and America have not been normal. Relations between the two countries have deteriorated significantly since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Despite this, the White House shared intelligence with Russia so that mass deaths could be avoided.
It is not known what action Russia took on this information received from America, but the American intelligence report has proved to be true.
On Friday evening, Islamic State terrorists entered a music festival organized at a synagogue on the outskirts of Maske and not only fired indiscriminately but also carried out bomb blasts there. So far 60 people have died in this incident.
According to AFP, the terrorists started firing indiscriminately even before the concert started at Cross City Hall. During this time, many people saved their lives by hiding under the chairs and some managed to escape by running away.
On the basis of CCTV footage, the Russian security agency has claimed the involvement of 2 to five terrorists in this incident. Meanwhile, sketches of two attackers have been released.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers were talking in a foreign language and were wearing military uniforms.
According to him, whoever came in front of the terrorists was roasted by them. At the time of the attack, the program of the famous Soviet era music band ‘Picnic’ was about to begin. About 6000 people were present in the hall.
