Russia has launched a major attack on Ukraine. A Russian ballistic missile equipped with cluster warheads targeted the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine. 11 people including two children lost their lives in this attack. About 84 people are injured. According to the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the condition of six children among the injured is very critical.
The age of the two children who lost their lives is nine and 14 years. A total of 15 buildings, including two educational institutions, were damaged. Relief and rescue work is going on. The city of Sumy in Ukraine is just 40 km from Russia. It is noteworthy that the war between Ukraine and Russia has completed 1,000 days since Monday.
Meanwhile, big news is coming that US President Joe Biden has approved to attack inside Russia on the heavy lobbying of Ukrainian officials. Now Ukraine will be able to use America’s long-range missiles against Russia. It is believed that Ukraine can use these weapons in response to North Korean troops. In fact, in support of Russia, North Korea has sent its troops to fight against Ukraine.
This is the second time that America has given permission to use deep-kill weapons in Russia. Earlier in May, Russia had gained ground in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. In response to this, America had approved the use of short-range weapon HIMARS system.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Today a lot is being said in the media that we have received permission for related action. But attacks are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. The missiles themselves Will tell you everything.” Zaleski said that Russia attacked simultaneously with 120 missiles and 90 drones. These drones include Shahed drones made in Iran and ballistic and aircraft-launched missiles. The Ukrainian military says it has hit a total of 144 targets.
