Russian President Putin will visit India soon, Kremlin confirmed PM Modi’s invitation…

Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon visit India.

Confirming Putin’s upcoming visit, the Kremlin on Monday said that the dates of President Putin’s visit to India will be announced soon. At present talks are going on between the two countries regarding this.

Regarding the meeting between PM Modi and Putin, Russian Ambassador to America Ushanov said that there is an agreement between India and Russia to hold a bilateral meeting every year.

PM Modi has come to Russia. Now it is President Putin’s turn. We have received the invitation from Prime Minister Modi, definitely positive initiatives are being taken regarding this.

He said that the program of Putin’s visit to India will be announced in the beginning of the year itself.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had also announced Putin’s upcoming visit to India two weeks ago.

He said in an event that we have welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi twice this year. Hopefully we will soon decide on the date for President Putin’s visit to India.

The Indian Foreign Ministry had also earlier issued a statement saying that in July this year, when PM Modi went to Russia to attend the 22nd India-Russia summit, he had invited Putin there. President Putin is likely to visit Delhi for the 23rd summit between India and Russia.

This will be President Putin’s first visit to India after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022. Last year he did not even come to participate in the G20 conference. Due to the Ukraine war, Putin is facing an arrest warrant from the International Court.

That’s why Putin rarely goes on foreign trips in the last few years. The ICC warrant means Putin could be arrested if he travels to an ICC member country.

Although both India and Russia are not its members.
