Amid the ongoing fierce conflict between Russia and Ukraine and efforts for ceasefire, the US and British governments have expressed concern over Vladimir Putin’s dangerous intentions.
It is reported that there is a secret deal between Russia and Iran. In which Russia is helping Iran with secret information and technology to make it a nuclear-rich country, in return Iran is giving Russia ballistic missiles to fight against Ukraine.
A few days ago, Ukraine had requested its Western allies to help it with short-range missiles as Russia was getting many ballistic missiles including Fatah-360 from Iran.
The Kremlin has increased its cooperation with Iran in recent months over its ambitions to acquire nuclear weapons, officials familiar with the matter said on condition of anonymity.
He said US and UK officials discussed this issue in Washington this week. British Prime Minister Starmer and US President Joe Biden have considered it worrying.
Biden’s administration is deeply concerned about Iran’s nuclear activities, according to a White House National Security Council spokesperson.
The spokesperson said on Saturday that Biden has made it clear that the United States is prepared to use all its might to prevent any nuclear escalation by Iran.
On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Iranian Embassy in Vienna have refused to comment on this.
Earlier, the US and UK foreign ministers had expressed concern about the new deal between Russia and Iran. Then Ukraine had alleged that Iran was supplying ballistic missiles to Russia.
However, the use of Iranian missiles by Russia during the war could not be confirmed. Earlier, Russia has used Iranian drones in Ukraine attacks.
Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy agreed during talks in London that “Iran’s nuclear program has never been more advanced,” the US State Department said in a joint statement on Saturday.
Iran, on the other hand, insists that it is not considering building nuclear weapons, although concerns have been raised that it could build them in response to rising tensions with Israel.
