Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has long been a battleground between terrorists and security forces. Meanwhile, security forces launched two major operations against terrorists there on Friday. A total of seventeen terrorists have been killed in these two attacks. Meanwhile, in the case of attack on Karachi airport, the Sindh government has constituted an interrogation team to investigate two suspects. These suspects had allegedly helped carry out a suicide attack on a Chinese convoy near Karachi airport last month.
17 terrorists killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
Security sources said seventeen terrorists were killed in two separate operations on Friday. In fact, on the basis of intelligence, security forces had launched Operation Bannu and North Waziristan districts against terrorists. Their locations were targeted in both these operations. According to reports, 12 terrorists belonging to Hafiz Gulbahadur group were killed by helicopters in an attack on their compound in Baka Khel area of Bannu district. Whereas, the second operation was conducted in Haso Khel area of Mir Ali in North Waziristan. Five terrorists were killed in this.
