Hundreds of members of the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah were injured on Tuesday

Hezbollah has blamed Israel for the attack and claimed that all the pagers exploded at almost the same time. This is an isolated incident of its kind.
Hezbollah said it was the biggest security breach it had faced. According to Reuters, a Hezbollah official said the pager explosion was the “biggest security breach” the group has suffered in its nearly year-long war with Israel.
According to Reuters, these explosions took place in Dahiyah, a southern suburb of Beirut. However, Lebanon’s state news agency NNA has reported that “hacked” pager devices have also exploded in the towns of Ali al-Nahri and Riyak in Lebanon’s central Bekaa Valley, resulting in a large number of injuries.
All three places are considered strongholds of Hezbollah. A Lebanese official said that it is believed that this is an attack carried out by Israel. The Israeli army was contacted by the Associated Press and no comment was received immediately.
Lebanon’s health ministry urged citizens who have pagers to leave. The ministry warned hospitals to remain on “high alert.”
