Chandigarh. Due to the farmers’ agitation, Shambhu border has been closed for the last six months. Due to this, people are also facing problems. This matter has now reached the Supreme Court. In the last hearing, the Supreme Court had asked Punjab and Haryana to partially open the border. In this connection, an important meeting of senior officials of Punjab Police and farmers is being held in Patiala today. ADGP Law and Order Arpit Shukla, Shohakat Ahmed Parre and Haryana officials were present in the meeting. This issue was discussed in it. But no result has come out in the meeting. At the same time, this matter is to be heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday.
The meeting lasted for about an hour. The farmers clearly said in the meeting that they have not blocked the road. This road was blocked by the Haryana government and the police. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that if the Haryana government opens the road, it is a matter of happiness. People will benefit and we will also go to Delhi. Dallewal said that the Haryana officials said that you should not go to Delhi with vehicles. But we have seen the behavior of the government. Earlier, for 13 months, there was no talk with the farmers in Delhi. Now six months have passed due to the struggle. At the same time, we will not go to Delhi without tractor trolleys. Because these tractor trolleys are their homes. There are many types of weather in winter and summer. We will also need ration and water in Delhi. In such a situation, it is our compulsion to take the tractor with us. He told that we have put all the points before the administration. The administration has said that a meeting will be called soon.
