Amravati. The issue of animal fat in Tirupati Balaji temple’s Prasad has become a hot topic in the whole country. Looking at the seriousness of the matter, the government has now formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate it. The SIT formed by the government will be monitored by IG or an officer of higher level. The SIT will investigate all the reasons, including misuse of power. After the investigation, the report will be submitted to the government. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu says that the government will take strict action regarding this, so that incidents like adulteration in Laddu do not happen again.
As per the order of the CM, Shanti Homa Panchagavya Prokshana i.e. Homa is being organized in Tirumala on Monday to rectify the impurity. This Homa being organized for the purification of the temple is being organized at Bangaru Bavi (Golden Well) Yagyashala (ritual place) in Srivari (Shri Venkateswara) temple. State CM Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that according to the rules, ghee suppliers should have at least 3 years of experience. However, after Jagan Mohan Reddy took power, it was reduced to one year. The CM also said that the turnover required for suppliers has also been reduced from Rs 250 crore to Rs 150 crore. Naidu questioned how pure ghee can be made available at Rs 319 per kg, when even palm oil is more expensive than this. He said that AR Dairy Foods Private Limited has started supplying ghee from June 12, 2024.
