The mercury has reached 8.2 degrees here. There is a snowfall alert for 3 days in five districts of Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Kangra and Chamba. A drop in minimum temperature may be recorded in these districts. On the other hand, the cold is continuously increasing in Kashmir. The night temperature in Pahalgam has reached minus 3.4 degrees. The temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 1 degree.

Due to this, there is severe cold in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior-Jabalpur as well as in smaller cities. On Friday, people shivered due to cold winds. To avoid this, he kept wearing warm clothes throughout the day.
If the wind blows downwards the cold will increase.
Meteorologist Pramendra Kumar said, currently the height of the jet stream wind is 12.6 km. When it flows down, the effect of cold will become more intense. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation system is active in the eastern part and a deep depression is active over the south-western Bay of Bengal. Its effect is also being seen in the state.
