Snowfall in Himachal and Kashmir, rain continues in plains

Heavy rainfall is still continuing from the mountains of North India to Eastern India. Due to this, people’s problems have increased. At the same time, snowfall has also started in the higher areas of Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. This has started providing relief from the increased heat. A drop of two to three degrees Celsius has been recorded in the maximum temperature in Himachal.

On Friday, there was rain and snowfall at some places in Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. It was cloudy at most places in Himachal. In Uttarakhand also, light rainfall continued in the hilly areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heavy rain in many districts of Uttarakhand. Similarly, flash flood alert has been issued for more than 10 districts of Bihar within the next 24 hours.

Snowfall in Rohtang, Shinkula and Baralacha in Himachal.

In Himachal, it rained in Kangra, Una, Bilaspur and Shimla on Friday while there was snowfall in Rohtang, Shinkula and Baralacha. Due to rain and snowfall, the maximum temperature has dropped by two to three degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature has dropped by two to four degrees. According to experts, this change in weather and rainfall is not good for the paddy crop. At the same time, due to rain on Wednesday and Thursday, 33 roads in the state are closed for traffic. Eight transformers are out of order, due to which power supply is disrupted in some areas.

First snowfall of the season in Gulmarg

The weather in Kashmir, which was in the grip of heat due to the temperature remaining above normal for the last several days, changed on Friday. Afravat, Gurez, Razdan Top, Sinthan Top and other high mountain areas of tourist destination Gulmarg received the first snowfall of the season and heavy rainfall in the lower areas including Srinagar. The temperature has dropped due to heavy rain in the morning in Jammu division. At some places, paddy crop has been damaged due to morning storm and heavy rain. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will start improving from September 28. The weather will remain dry till October 5. However, there may be light rain in some high mountain areas on Saturday.

Chances of heavy rain in six districts of Uttarakhand

Light rain continued in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand on Friday also. In the last two days, it has been raining intermittently in most areas of the state. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, there may be periods of intense rain with thunder and lightning in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh city on Saturday. Yellow alert of rain has been issued in these districts. With this, monsoon may depart from Uttarakhand by October 3.

Flash flood alert in Bihar

In Bihar, Bagmati is flowing beyond the danger mark while Kosi and Gandak are also in spate. Flash flood alert has been issued in 13 districts including Patna within the next 24 hours in Bihar. The Disaster Management Department has sent a warning to the District Magistrates of the districts where there is a flash flood alert. At the same time, warning of excessive rainfall has been given in five districts.

Darjeeling’s condition worsened due to rain

The condition of Darjeeling in Bengal, a famous tourist destination all over the world, has deteriorated these days due to heavy rains. This has not only increased the problems of the common people in the hilly areas but has also put a halt to the arrival of tourists from across the country and the world. There is no possibility of relief on Saturday also. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there has been a warning of heavy rain in the mountains and plains till Saturday. At the same time, people are troubled due to four consecutive days of rain and landslides.
