Know how cold it will be in Delhi today

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of Delhi on Sunday will be 7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 25 degrees Celsius.

However, the temperature is going to drop further in the coming days. The department has predicted light fog on Sunday.

The minimum temperature recorded in the capital on Saturday was 5.5 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees below the average for this season. Delhi recorded the lowest minimum temperature of this season on Friday at 4.9 degrees Celsius, which was even lower than Shimla’s minimum temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius.

Shivering due to cold in UP, fog also affected
Dense fog was seen in many cities including Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Sunday morning due to which people are facing problems in traffic. It is also partly cloudy in some parts of the state. However, rain has not been predicted. The minimum temperature in Lucknow today is expected to be between 11 degrees Celsius and maximum 24 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Noida may fall further which will be up to 7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius. In most areas of the state, the sun is shining in the afternoon. The weather is expected to remain clear during the day on Sunday also.

Snowfall in high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir
Snowfall occurred in some highland areas of Kashmir on Saturday, while it rained in the plains. The Meteorological Department said that due to a weak western disturbance, the minimum temperature will improve by Sunday, after which the night temperature is expected to drop again by one to three degrees. Officials said the disturbance had hit Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday afternoon, resulting in light to moderate snowfall in some higher reaches of the valley. He said that Gulmarg in Baramulla district of North Kashmir received about 6 inches of snowfall. There has also been snowfall in Sonamarg tourist spot and Zojila. Meanwhile, it rained in the plains of the valley, which was continuing till the last news was received.

Snowfall in Himachal, how will the weather be today
There was snowfall in some areas of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. However, the weather is expected to be clear here today. From Sunday till December 21, there will be sunshine in the entire state, which will provide relief to the people from the cold. Advisory issued regarding increasing cold
In view of the continuously increasing cold over the past few days, the administration has issued an advisory. People have been asked to maintain the flow of heat in the body and consume nutritious food and warm beverages. Wear woolen and warm clothes in cold. Keep the body dry. If clothes are wet then there may be loss of heat. It has been asked to use heaters, kerosene and coal fireplaces in the rooms, so that proper arrangements for exhausting smoke can be ensured. In the advisory, it has been said to keep your head covered, because in cold weather, heat can be lost through the head. Keep your mouth covered as well, this will protect your lungs from cold.
