There is a possibility of life-threatening storms and hailstorms in many parts of Britain on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, in which there is a possibility of up to 70 mm of rain in a few hours. This alert has been issued specifically for Wales, South-West England, Midlands and parts of South-East England.

The Meteorological Department said that the speed of stormy winds can be up to 500 kilometers per hour. Along with this, there is also a possibility of damage to buildings due to lightning, hail and heavy rain, disruption of public transport and flooding.
Meteorological Department’s Chief Meteorologist Jason Kelly said, this warning has been issued for those areas where there is the highest risk of heavy rain with thunder. Deputy Chief Meteorologist Dan Harris has also predicted heavy rain next week, due to which a new warning can be issued for Monday as well. In view of this bad weather, people in the affected areas have been advised to remain alert, especially in Wales, South-West England and Midlands. People have been warned to stay in safe places due to hailstorms and lightning along with stormy winds.
