Suicide attack in Pakistan, eight people killed – NNSP

Karachi. Eight people were killed in a suicide attack targeting a police post in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The dead included six personnel of law enforcement agencies. According to sources, the blast took place at Aslam check post in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan. Sources said the attackers riding on three-wheelers hit the check post and security forces vehicles, killing at least eight people. According to sources, those killed include four policemen, two soldiers and two civilians. Sources said that several other people were injured in the blast and were admitted to Miran Shah Hospital. The number of casualties may increase. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, security forces have surrounded the area. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the attack. He said, the sacrifices of security forces in the war against terrorism will be remembered for a long time. Action against terrorist organizations will continue until they are completely eliminated from the area.
