Sukesh Chandrashekhar, accused of fraud of Rs 200 crore, has got bail. He has got bail in the case related to the two-leaf election symbol, but he is still in jail due to ongoing investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the MCOCA case of Delhi Police. Therefore, despite bail, Sukesh Chandrashekhar will not be able to come out of jail at present.
Actually, Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, as cases have been registered against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) by the Delhi Police. This shows that even if he gets bail, he will not be able to get out of jail. Sukesh is accused of Rs 200 crore.
Let us tell you that, recently a Delhi court heard the bail plea of Sukesh’s wife Leena Maria, which was opposed by the Delhi Police. In response to the petition, the police said that if Sukesh’s wife is granted bail, she can flee to Dubai. The next hearing of this case is to be held on September 12.
