There has been a huge uproar in the camp office of Adani Group in Jammalamadugu, Andhra Pradesh.
It is reported that supporters of local Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs vandalized the office and also beat up the staff.
At present, the members of the group have lodged a complaint with the police in this regard on Tuesday. Police say that a case has been registered against the people involved in the attack.
According to a Times of India report, the incident took place near Kondapuram Ragikunta village in Jammalamadugu assembly constituency of Kadapa district.
Here Adani Group company is preparing a power plant, for which a camp office has been prepared. It is reported that close supporters of Jammalamadugu MLA C Adinarayana Reddy had reached this office.
Reportedly, the MLA’s supporters were creating ruckus as to why the staff members did not come to meet MLA Reddy and ask for help before starting the construction work.
According to the report, after a heated argument, the MLA’s supporters started pelting stones and destroyed many equipments present at the spot. The office window was also broken in the attack. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot.
It is reported that Adani Group is building a 1000 MW pumped storage power plant on 470 acres.
Talking to the newspaper, SI Rishikeshwar Reddy has informed that on the basis of the complaint of representatives of Adani Group, a case has been registered against the people involved in the attack.
Here, Kadapa parliamentary constituency MP YS Avinash Reddy has said that on one hand the state government is talking about bringing industries to Andhra Pradesh, while on the other hand the ruling party MLAs are getting involved in extortion and blackmailing.
