Supreme Court refuses to interfere in Johar Trust case…shock to Azam Khan

New Delhi . Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Azam Khan got a big blow from the Supreme Court on Monday. Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust had filed a petition challenging the decision of the High Court, in which the lease of the land allotted for Jauhar School in Rampur was canceled and the UP government was allowed to acquire the land. The Supreme Court on Monday refused to interfere in the High Court’s decision. Before this, petitioner Azam’s lawyer Kapil Sibal said in the hearing that currently 300 children are studying in the school, hence the UP High Court order should be stayed and the decision of the state government should be cancelled.
A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra of the Supreme Court ordered the UP government to ensure that about 300 students studying there can get admission in other educational institutions. In fact, the High Court had given its verdict against the SP leader in the lease case of government land to Johar Trust in Rampur. On behalf of the Executive Committee of Jauhar Trust, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court against this decision of the High Court, but it was cancelled. Azam Maulana Mohammad Ali is the chairman of Jauhar Trust.
Let us tell you that earlier on August 28, Azam Khan had got a big relief from the MP-MLA court in another case. In 2019, he was acquitted by the MP-MLA court in the code of conduct violation case. Due to lack of evidence, he was not found to have violated the code of conduct and he was acquitted in this case.
