The war between Hamas and Israel continues in Gaza. There seems to be little chance of negotiations for a ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, The Times of Israel has said in one of its reports that Israel has rejected Hamas’s demand to permanently stop fighting in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated his old stand regarding the war.

He has said that the fighting will not stop until Hamas is completely destroyed and the hostages are released safe and sound.

The Israeli Prime Minister said that Hamas was given a simple choice – either surrender, or die. They have no option left now.

134 Israeli soldiers killed so far in Gaza
At least 134 Israeli soldiers have been killed so far in ground attacks on Gaza and about 740 have been injured. The United Nations has given this information quoting the Israeli Army.

Three more Israeli soldiers have been killed in the Gaza fighting, including a 19-year-old sergeant from Battalion 931 and two lieutenants, aged 20 and 21, Al Jazeera reports.

IDF attacks Hezbollah’s operational command center

More than five lakh people are facing starvation: report
More than half a million people in Gaza are facing starvation due to insufficient food reaching the area since the war began more than 10 weeks ago. This information has been given in a report released by the United Nations on Thursday. It’s a situation where almost everyone in Gaza is facing starvation, said Arif Hussein, chief economist at the World Food Programme.

He warned that if the war between Israel and Hamas continues at this level and adequate supplies of food are not ensured, the population may face severe starvation within the next six months.
