Hyderabad. A woman died under mysterious circumstances after falling from a residential apartment in Hyderabad. Police said on Wednesday that a 25-year-old woman from Odisha had come to Hyderabad for surrogacy. At the same time, the woman’s husband has accused a businessman. Police are investigating the allegations.
Deceased’s husband accused of sexual harassment
The woman’s husband alleged that a 54-year-old businessman had sexually assaulted her and that the businessman had hired the woman for surrogacy. At the same time, on the night of 25-26 November, the woman took her own life. Raidurgam police have booked the businessman for abetment of suicide under relevant sections of the BNS and are investigating the allegations.
According to the police, the woman was living in a room in the businessman’s flat for the last one month, while her husband was kept in a separate room. Police said the businessman lives in the flat with his wife and other family members and the surrogacy process was scheduled to begin next month.
Police are investigating
Officials found sarees tied to an iron grill on the balcony of the woman’s room from the ninth floor to the seventh floor. Police suspect that she may have attempted to climb down to escape, but are also investigating whether she fell accidentally or died by suicide. Investigation is going on.
