Suspicion of conspiracy in Sabarmati Express accident; Speculations from Ashwini Vaishnav’s statement, IB begins investigation

A major train accident took place in Kanpur, UP last night. The Sabarmati Express (Varanasi to Ahmedabad, train number 19168) derailed between Kanpur and Bhimsen stations. However, there is no report of any casualties in the accident.

After the accident, a statement from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also come to the fore.

What did Ashwini Vaishnav say?

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav tweeted and said,

Today at 2.35 am the engine of Sabarmati Express (Varanasi to Ahmedabad) hit an object on the track and the train derailed near Kanpur. Several marks have been found on the train. Evidence has been preserved. IB and UP police are also working on it. There are no injuries to passengers or staff. Train has been arranged for the passengers for onward journey to Ahmedabad.

22 bogies derailed

Meanwhile, Additional District Magistrate Rakesh Verma assessed the accident site of Sabarmati Express in Kanpur. He said that 22 bogies have derailed.

A loud noise was heard as something hit the train

A passenger said that as soon as the train left Kanpur railway station, we heard a loud noise and the coach started shaking. I was very scared but the train stopped.
