Tell us what is the problem with Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Amit Shah made this demand to Rahul Gandhi…

After the implementation of CAA i.e. Citizenship Amendment Act, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke openly on it.

He has made it clear that the law is not ‘anti-Muslim’. He has also appealed to Wayanad MP and former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi to explain the reason for opposing CAA. Congress had raised serious questions on CAA.

In an interview given to news agency ANI, Shah has challenged Rahul to come on stage and openly express his opinion on CAA. He said, ‘I request you to interview Rahul Gandhi in detail on this issue and explain to the general public the reason for opposing CAA. In politics, it is your responsibility to give clarification on your decisions.’

He further said, ‘If the decision of CAA has been taken by my government, then I will have to explain the opinion of my party. Similarly, Rahul Gandhi should also explain why he is opposing this law.

Congress questions
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has raised questions on the timing of implementing the law. He had also alleged that this is a controversial law, because citizenship has never been on the basis of religion.

On this, Shah had said, ‘All the opposition parties including Rahul Gandhi, Mamata or Kejriwal are doing politics of lies. In such a situation the question of timing does not arise. BJP had made it clear in its 2019 manifesto that it will bring CAA and give Indian citizenship to refugees. BJP’s agenda is clear and as per that promise, the bill was passed in both the houses in 2019. It was delayed due to Covid. BJP’s agenda was clear even before getting the mandate in the elections.

He had said, ‘The rules are now a formality. There is no question of timing, political gain or loss. Now the opposition wants to unite its vote bank by doing appeasement politics.

I request him that he has been exposed. CAA is a law for the entire country and I have reiterated 41 times in four years that it will become a reality.

gave confidence to Muslims
Shah said, ‘I have told about 41 times recently that minorities in India do not need to worry, because there is no provision to snatch anyone’s citizenship.

It guarantees citizenship only to the persecuted Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians and Parsis.
