Terrorists will have to pay the price of the attack: Manoj Sinha – NNSP

Jammu. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha gave a strict warning to the terrorists regarding the grenade attack in Srinagar and said that the price of the attack will have to be paid. The AG took a meeting with DGP Nalin Prabhat and senior officials of security agencies. He directed the officials to take effective action to punish the terrorists and their associates. He said that there is complete freedom to crush terrorist organizations and leave no stone unturned in completing this mission. He reiterated the government’s resolve to not allow terrorist elements to succeed in their nefarious designs. Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah has condemned this attack. For the last few days, reports of attacks and encounters in some parts of the valley have been in the headlines, he said in a post on Twitter. The news of grenade attack on innocent shopkeepers in the Sunday market in Srinagar is extremely disturbing. There can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians. He instructed that the security system should make every possible effort to stop the attacks as soon as possible so that people can live their lives without any fear. A day before the commencement of the assembly session, terrorists attacked the Sunday market with a grenade. A dozen civilians have been injured in the attack. After the attack, security arrangements have been further increased in the area. The injured have been admitted to SMHS hospital for treatment.

Call for action to stop attacks
Jammu and Kashmir Congress called for steps to stop such attacks. Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra, in a statement, said it was deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate and horrific incident of grenade attack on shopkeepers. He said, Jammu and Kashmir Police should take effective steps to stop such brutal and inhuman attacks so that the public can move freely and without any fear.
