These days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is campaigning in the southern states.

This time BJP is trying to increase its seats through South India. BJP’s performance in North India has been good earlier also.

In such a situation, when it comes to increasing seats, BJP wants to focus on those states where till now its hold was not considered very strong.

PM Modi has visited the southern states 20 times this year i.e. from January to March. He was also in the South on March 15, just before the elections were announced.

In the last three months alone, PM Modi has visited Tamil Nadu seven times, Kerala and Telangana four times and Karnataka thrice.

Apart from this, PM Modi has also visited Andhra Pradesh twice. According to the report of News 18, a senior Union Minister said, maybe the path to power in Delhi passes through Uttar Pradesh, but this time the path to NDA’s target of crossing 400 passes through the South only. He said, our target is that NDA should get at least 50 to 60 seats from the five southern states.

BJP has finalized alliance with many parties in the South. This includes Chandrababu Naidu’s PDP, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and TTV Divakaran’s party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Coimbatore on Monday. Here he did a long roadshow. Now he will hold a rally in Salem.

On March 15, Prime Minister Modi started this year’s election campaign from Kanyakumari seat in Tamil Nadu. On February 28, the Prime Minister will hold a rally in Thoothukudi.

PM Modi’s rally is also going to be held in Palakkad, Kerala on March 19 itself. PM Modi has earlier campaigned for Anil Antony, son of veteran Congress leader AK Antony.

He is a BJP candidate. During his visit to Telangana on March 16, PM Modi focused on Nagurkunnool seat, while on March 18, PM Modi had a rally in Nizamabad, Hyderabad. In Karnataka, PM Modi started election campaign from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s hometown Kalaburagi and Shivamogga.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa in Shimoga. He is a big Lingayat leader.

PM Modi has given the message that he respects and gives importance to the big Lingayat leader of his party. Apart from this, PM Modi gave the message of unity of NDA by holding a rally in Andhra Pradesh.
