On Tuesday, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders held a major meeting at the BJP headquarters to review their strategy for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections and consider the upcoming electoral challenges.
The presence of senior BJP leader Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda as well as important ministers of allies in the meeting made the importance of this meeting clear.
According to sources, this meeting was very important to ensure coordination of strategies among the NDA member parties.
Leaders like Shiv Sena’s Pratap Rao Jadhav, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)’s Chirag Paswan, Hindustani Awam Morcha’s Jitan Ram Manjhi and Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Jayant Chaudhary attended the meeting. Sources said the NDA parties agreed to maintain a uniform election campaign strategy across the states.
After this, another meeting of BJP leaders was held, in which Union ministers also participated. This meeting focused on internal organizational matters of the party.
According to sources, the process of selecting the new party president was also discussed in the meeting. BJP may select its new president in the next few months.
Apart from this, a separate meeting was also held to review the preparations for the Delhi Assembly elections. Apart from Maharashtra and Jharkhand, BJP is also making its strategic plan for the elections in other states.
Baijayant Panda has been appointed election in-charge and Atul Garg as co-in-charge for the Delhi Assembly elections, which are likely to be held early next year.
