In a cemetery in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, Britain, people will now have to pay a fee to visit the graves of their loved ones and offer flowers there. Actually, the administration here has recently come out with a new rule under which VIP pass will have to be taken to visit this cemetery from the year 2025. Only then will people be able to visit the graves of their loved ones. Not only this, electric gates are being installed in the cemetery to prevent entry without a pass, so that even if someone tries to enter here without a VIP pass, he will not be able to succeed.
There is a cemetery named ‘The Garden of Remembrance’ in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, Britain. For the last 19 years, people here used to visit the graves of their loved ones without any restriction, offer flowers and light candles in their memory. Were there and cried remembering them, as usually happens in every graveyard. But now according to the new rules in this cemetery of Britain, only those people who do not get the pass will be able to enter the cemetery from 9 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday. Apart from this time, they will have to take VIP pass to come to this cemetery at any time of the day, evening, night, weekends, holidays.
According to the notice posted in the cemetery, one will have to pay £5 (Rs 536) per person to go to the area of the cemetery where the graves are. To visit the Rose Garden built in the cemetery, you will have to pay £10 (Rs 1,072) per person.
The cemetery has not only imposed an entry fee, but an electric gate is being installed here to prevent the sad people coming to mourn the graves of their loved ones from entering without a pass even by mistake. Apart from the free fixed hours, it will open only after taking VIP pass.
Obviously, the administration here is being heavily criticized for charging such fees to visit the graves of loved ones. People are saying that charging such a fee to allow people to visit the graves of deceased relatives, friends and relatives is against humanity. There are about 1,300 graves in this cemetery. Where people could easily visit the graves between 9 am to 5 pm in winter and 9 am to 7 pm in summer.
