New Delhi. The central government has relieved former trainee officer Pooja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service with immediate effect. This action has been taken against her under Rule 12 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954.
Pooja was a trainee IAS of the 2023 batch. She got 841st rank in UPSC-2022. She was training since June 2024. She is accused of giving wrong information about herself to appear in the Civil Services Exam 2022 to take advantage of reservation. UPSC found Pooja guilty in its investigation. After this, Pooja’s selection was canceled on 31 July. Pooja was accused of giving wrong information about age, parents, changing identity and giving civil services exam more times than the prescribed limit. After the selection was canceled, Pooja’s post was taken away. She is barred from giving any UPSC exam in future.
