The heat of protest against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of Hindu priests has now reached many countries.
On behalf of ISKCON, it was said that on Sunday, prayers for peace in Bangladesh were held in 1000 temples all over the world.
Now in Canada too, people have taken to the streets for the rights of Hindus. Bangladeshi Hindus living in Canada have appealed to the government to respect minorities and protect their rights.
Let us tell you that the Bangladeshi administration had arrested Chinmoy Das Prabhu, associated with ISKCON.
He was accused of treason. Due to this, three other Hindu priests were also arrested. Reports said that access to medicines for them was blocked.
Bangladesh stopped more than 50 celibates of ISKCON from entering India. ISKCON Kolkata vice-president Radharaman Das said in a late evening post on social media platform X that 63 celibates of the International Krishna Consciousness Society were stopped from entering India despite having valid Indian visas and other documents.
He said Bangladeshi border police said they were instructed by Bangladeshi intelligence not to allow the 63 persons to enter India.
“They were not allowed to leave because their travel to India seemed suspicious,” Imtiaz Mohammad Ahsanul Quader, in-charge of Benapole immigration check post, told Business Standard Bangladesh. One of the detained persons said that many of them were followers of ISKCON.
