It is an important organ of the state government which takes important decisions for the development of the state and the welfare of the people.
Parliamentary Affairs and Education Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said these things to the students of Dr. Radha Bai Naveen Girls Post Graduate College, Raipur, who reached the Assembly on an educational tour on Tuesday.
Minister Aggarwal said that the Assembly is a temple of democracy, where MLAs from across the state work for the development of their respective areas.
He also said that peaceful conduct of assembly proceedings is a matter of great responsibility. For this, it is important to be polite and courteous, and we should also listen carefully and express our views and opinions without any hesitation. We should use these habits in our life also.
It is noteworthy that the purpose of this visit was to provide the students an opportunity to closely see and understand the functioning of the assembly.
The girl students saw that the Speaker of the Assembly was conducting the House in the role of a teacher. Along with the opposition members, members of the ruling party were also invited to ask questions one by one.
Apart from the House, the study team was shown the library and the Central Hall of the Assembly and the parliamentary system was described pictorially. The students described this tour as very informative and interesting.
The girl students also had a courtesy meeting with MLA Anuj Sharma, Ishwar Sahu, Mrs. Bhavna Bohra, Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, Mrs. Chaturi Nand.
On this occasion, Head of the Department of Political Science, Dr. Manisha Sharma, Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Sahu, Gayatri Sharma and Avinash Sharma were also present.
