Punjab and Haryana High Court has made a big comment amid the fear of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui.
The High Court has ordered the Punjab Government to take strict action against the officials who honored Lawrence Bishnoi as a state guest.
This order of the court has been given on the report of SIT. Lawrence Bishnoi had given an interview in police custody at Kharar CIA branch in Mohali, into which investigation was ordered.
The SIT formed in this case has submitted its report to the High Court. After the displeasure of the High Court, the advocate appearing on behalf of the Punjab Government has assured the court that action will be taken against the guilty officials soon.
IPS Prabodh Kumar, head of the SIT formed by the High Court, told the court on Tuesday that the investigation has been completed. Along with the report, the SIT also submitted a note regarding the role of the officers who had helped in the interview of Lawrence Bishnoi.
The High Court also handed over a copy of the said note to the lawyer assisting the court, Tannu Bedi. She will study this report and cooperate with the court in the next hearing.
The Punjab government had formed a high power committee to investigate this matter, but that committee could not solve the matter.
The lawyer assisting the court will also give information to the court in the next hearing regarding the role of the officers responsible for this.
Orders to take action and file report by 28th October
On behalf of the Punjab Government, the High Court was told that a show cause notice has been issued to the then Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni, SP Amandeep Singh Brar, DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu and CIA Kharar in-charge Inspector Shiv Kumar and they have been asked to file their reply within seven days. Was told.
The court was assured that action would be taken against the guilty officers within 10 days. The court was told that the officers whose role was found suspicious in this case have been removed from the posts of public dealing.
The High Court has adjourned the hearing of the case till October 28 and ordered to take action and file a report.
During the hearing, ADG Jail Arun Pal, who participated through video conferencing, told the court that work is being done to make the jails safe.
He has sought time to file his reply regarding installation of V Kavach jammers in jails. The High Court accepted this and adjourned the hearing.
