Lucknow. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also declared November 1 as a public holiday. Diwali is on 31st October. Earlier government offices were open on this day. Today the government has announced this. After this announcement, various offices and secondary schools of the state government will be closed on November 1. With this decision of the government, in a way the government employees have got the gift of leave from 31st to 3rd November on Diwali. There will be a holiday on 3rd November as it is a Sunday. On one hand in the state, there are holidays for Narak Chaturdashi, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhaiya Dooj etc. in basic schools from 30th October to 3rd November. There is a holiday in secondary schools only on 30-31 October. Schools will open on Friday, November 1 and there is a holiday on the 2nd for Govardhan Puja. There is resentment among teachers regarding this and students and parents are also worried.

Actually, festivals are falling continuously from 30th October to 3rd November. Due to this, not only Basic but many universities have also declared holiday from October 30 to November 3. But secondary schools are open on 1st November. However, Kartik Amavasya is falling on this day. Teachers and parents have to say that due to the school opening a day later, people going out will not be able to go to their homes even on Diwali. After this order of the government, the employees of secondary schools as well as the state government will get relief.
