The time to make Ramlala’s eyes was only 20 minutes, sculptor Arun Yogiraj said – after taking bath in Saryu…

Lakhs of devotees are thronging the Ram temple of Ayodhya every day.

Ram Lalla was consecrated on January 22, in which ceremony more than five thousand people including PM Modi were present. The idol of Ramlala installed in the Ram temple has been made by famous sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

He has told in many interviews how this statue of Ramlala was ready after hard work day and night for the last nine months.

While giving an interview to ‘Vion’, Arun Yogiraj said that there was only 20 minutes time to make the eyes of Ramlala’s idol. He said, “There was a time of 20 minutes to make the eyes.

So, we were given 20 minutes to complete the eye work.” Further, Arun Yogiraj told that before making the eyes, I had to take a bath in the Saryu river and go to Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan for worship.

In addition, I was given a gold masonry shears and a silver hammer for the work. He told that he was very confused while making the eyes. However, they can make eyes in ten ways.

Earlier, in an interview, Yogiraj had said that my idol was selected for the Ram temple, what makes me more happy is that the whole world is very happy and joyful about that idol. Ramlala is not just mine, but belongs to the entire country.

I have done a very small work. Let us tell you that Yogiraj’s family has been making idols for the last 300 years. He is the sixth generation of his family to make idols. Yogiraj says that he has the blessings of his ancestors.

He considers his father as his guru. Arun Yogiraj had told that whenever he used to make the idol of Ramlala, a monkey would come every evening between four and five o’clock.

Later, a curtain was placed at that place, but still he would come there and remove it and then leave from there after seeing the idol. The sculptor also later gave this information to Champat Rai of Ram Mandir Trust.
