The weather is changing rapidly with the passing cold. On one hand, the temperature has increased in some areas of North India, on the other hand, rain and snowfall have been seen in many places.

A new western disturbance is becoming active which will have a large scale impact. There is a possibility of rain in many areas including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and Assam between 25-27 February.

The Meteorological Department says that the weather is going to change rapidly in a day or two. In such a situation, people need to be cautious about moderate to heavy rain and snowfall.

If we talk about the capital Delhi, the maximum temperature recorded here on Saturday was 24.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree less than the average temperature of this season. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal.

The Meteorological Department office has predicted generally cloudy sky in New Delhi on Sunday, while the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 26 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees respectively.

Chances of drizzle due to western disturbance in Rajasthan
Due to the influence of a new western disturbance, it is expected to be cloudy and drizzle in many parts of Rajasthan next week. Jaipur based weather center gave this information on Saturday.

According to this, due to the effect of a weak western disturbance, there is a possibility of cloudy sky and drizzle at isolated places in some parts of the state on 26-27 February. The weather center informed that there is a strong possibility of another intense western disturbance becoming active from March 1-2.

Due to its effect, there may be rain with thunderstorms and strong winds at some places in some parts of the state in the first week of March.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius in Sangriya, 6.2 degrees Celsius in Jalore and 6.5 degrees Celsius in Karauli.

Fresh snowfall in Himachal’s Manali, Dalhousie
Popular tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh, Manali and Dalhousie received fresh snowfall on Saturday. The sky remained clear in the capital Shimla in the morning, but for some time there was snowfall in the city and surrounding areas along with icy winds. People suffering from severe cold in Himachal Pradesh did not get any relief.

Minimum temperatures remained below normal at most places after light snowfall in tribal areas and high hills. 10 cm snowfall was recorded in Nichar. After this, there was 7.8 cm snowfall in Kalpa, 2.8 cm in Sangla, 0.6 cm in Pooh while Shimla and Kufri also received minor snowfall.

The local meteorological office has predicted snowfall at many places in the high hilly areas from February 25 to March 1. Apart from this, there may be rain at some places in the central hilly areas on 26, 27 and 29 February while at many places on March 1.

A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Himalayan region from February 26. Apart from 26, 27 and 29 February, the Meteorological Department office has also issued a yellow alert for rain with thunder and lightning at some places on 1 March.

Chances of rain, snowfall in Kashmir
Due to change in weather in Jammu and Kashmir from Tuesday, there are chances of rain and snowfall again. The Meteorological Department said that there was continuous rain and snowfall for three days in Jammu and Kashmir this week.

There are chances of light rain and snowfall at isolated places for the next 2 days. Light to moderate rain or snow is expected at most places from March 1-3.

There are also chances of strong winds and hailstorm at some places during these three days. The temperature in the capital Srinagar was minus 3.1 degrees Celsius, Gulmarg recorded minus 9 degrees Celsius and Pahalgam recorded minus 7.4 degrees Celsius.
