PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the occasion of Independence Day for the 11th consecutive time from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
During this, while he reiterated his resolve to develop India, he also highlighted India’s concerns. While talking about women’s respect, PM Narendra Modi also indirectly talked about the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.
He said, ‘There is anger in the country against the atrocities being committed against mothers and sisters. All the states will have to take this seriously.
There should be quick investigation in such cases and those who commit such demonic acts should be given severe punishment.
When news of rape and atrocities on women comes, it dominates the headlines. But when the culprits are punished, the news is left in the corner. Such news should be given prominence so that criminals are scared.
PM Narendra Modi said that today our government has made a lot of efforts for women. He said that if we have to become a developed India, then it is not possible to do so without the respect and participation of women.
PM Modi said that today fear has developed in the minds of terrorists. He said, earlier terrorists used to kill people and go away. Now the country’s army does air strikes and surgical strikes.
This fills the youth of the country with pride. When the government machinery gets involved in fulfilling the dreams of the country and the citizens also join in as a mass movement, then the goals are achieved.
Such an environment was created that one should make do with whatever one has
He said that such an environment had been created that one should live with whatever is there. They used to say that nothing is going to happen now. We have changed that environment.
Many people used to say that why should we do anything for the future, let us look at the present. But the citizens of the country do not want this. They kept waiting for reforms.
When we got the responsibility, we implemented the reforms on the ground. I want to assure the countrymen that we will remain committed to the reforms. Our process is not out of compulsion but for strength.
